I had a signed poster that deserved a nice frame, but didn't want to hassle with taking it to the frame shop and spending a few hundred dollars. I also didn't want to use a mat, but wanted the frame to complement and highlight the poster. If that is what you are trying to do, this frame does exactly that. While I thought the gold detail would be "okay" and it would likely look a little plastic/painted, I was shocked. It is a very nicely finished gold that looks metallic and very uniform. The mitering is crisp and tight on all corners. The frame came very well packaged and protected. The one thing you might want to change is the plexiglass for real glass...but the frame is amazing. I bought another one ten minutes after seeing how this one highlights artwork.
